Beijing Polytechnic held the Spring Opening Ceremony of the Overseas Technical Skills Training Base and Tunisian Branch for 2022 Freshmen

 

At 3:00 pm on April 13, Beijing time, Beijing Polytechnic held the Spring Opening Ceremony of the 2022 Freshmen of the Overseas Technical Skills Training Base and Tunisian Branch online through the Classin online teaching system. Professor Xin Xiulan, Deputy Dean of Beijing Polytechnic, Ma Jun, Deputy Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Office, Professor Mokaddem Yassin of the Free University of Tunisia, and Professor Mahdi Mejri, representative of Tunisian EPI Education Group, attended the ceremony. All the 2022 freshmen and teachers of the campus gathered together on the "cloud" and joined hands to witness the start of the new semester of Tunisia students in Beijing Polytechnic.

 

 

The ceremony was presided over by Ma Jun, deputy director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of Beijing Polytechnic. Donia Benzarti, a student of Business major made a speech on behalf of all students. She is looking forward to the upcoming courses, she talked about her indissoluble bond with China, and told the students that China is a warm, friendly and charming country. She hopes that everyone will slowly experience and understand China through the study in Beijing Polytechnic.

 

Afterwards, the teacher representative of Beijing Polytechnic, Mrs. Ma Jie, welcomed the arrival of the students, and promised on behalf of the teachers tell China's story well, spread China's voice, and pass on China's traditional concept of win-win cooperation, openness and inclusiveness. Help more Tunisian students to increase their knowledge and professional skills, expand their horizons, so as to enhance Tunisian students' understanding of China.

 

Next, Prof. Mokaddem Yassin from the Free University of Tunisia and Prof. Mahdi Mejri, the representative of Tunisian EPI Education Group, delivered speeches respectively. Professor Mokaddem Yassin expressed that he was very honored to cooperate with Beijing Polytechnic. He hoped that students could face challenges, cherish opportunities, and study hard. Free University of Tunisia will continue to provide support and convenience for students to study. Professor Mahdi Mejri said that the cooperation with Beijing Polytechnic is an important strategic cooperation of EPI education group. He hoped that this cooperation will be fruitful, and he looks forward to deepening the strategic relationship between the two parties in the next few years.

 

  

Then Professor Xin Xiulan, Deputy Dean of Beijing Polytechnic, delivered a speech. Professor Xin Xiulan introduced the Beijing Polytechnic and the four majors enrolled this time in detail to the students, and introduced the school's support for students in terms of hardware, teachers, scholarships, and internship opportunities. Professor Xin Xiulan expressed the hope that the epidemic will end as soon as possible and that she can communicate face-to-face with teachers and students in Tunisia as soon as possible. She wished the students a smooth study and hoped to establish a closer cooperative relationship with universities in Tunisia.

 

 

Finally, Ma Jun, deputy director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of Beijing Polytechnic, made a concluding remark. Director Ma Jun hoped that the students would cherish the opportunity, maintain their enthusiasm for learning, and work hard to learn professional knowledge and Chinese culture.

 

  

After the opening ceremony, the students immediately entered their respective classes to study the first lesson of the new semester online. The opening ceremony ended successfully!

 

 

In response to the national "One Belt, One Road" initiative, further promote the process of international education construction, drive mature and high-quality professional education resources to "go out", Beijing Hongzhou Learning Co., Ltd. creatively proposes Internationalization Education Construction Integrated Solution to Chinese universities and colleges, in order to gradually realize the promotion and export of high-quality professional education standards and improve the quality of running schools.

 

Beijing Polytechnic cooperates with Beijing Hongzhou Learning Co., Ltd. to jointly develop the educational resource of the "Belt and Road" countries, and successfully established an overseas technical skills training base and Tunis Branch in Tunisia.

 

In December 2021, Beijing Polytechnic successfully joined hands with the Free University of Tunisia, and the two parties signed a MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) and a strategic cooperation agreement. The two sides will carry out cooperation activities in the fields of education, scientific research, enhancing international understanding, promoting academic cooperation, cultural exchanges, and deepening bilateral friendship.

The cooperation has received strong support from Tunisian universities/colleges and the local government. In March 2022, Beijing Polytechnic launched targeted recruitment of Tunisian students for the school's food engineering, computer application technology, mechatronics, and international business majors. Beijing Hongzhou Learning Co., Ltd. has undertaken the recruitment of this project.
