Beijing Hongzhou Learning visits Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Polytechnic

On July 15, 2019, Zhao Yuling, Director of Beijing Hongzhou Learning International Cooperation Department, visited Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Polytechnic on behalf of Hongzhou Learning and was warmly received by Zhang Yang, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Division.

In 2019, Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Polytechnic was granted the qualification to recruit international students. The two sides discussed strategies on promoting the internationalization of Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Polytechnic and conducted in-depth discourse in the following aspects:

International Education Exhibitions

Participating in international education exhibitions can effectively increase the international exposure of universities. Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Polytechnic is a high-class private college which is now able to recruits international students. Due to the limited resources of scholarships, the school hopes to increase the exposure of the school internationally, through educational exhibitions and with its regional advantages, it can already be quite attractive to foreign students who would decide to finance themselves. Beijing Hongzhou Learning has various network partnerships with high schools, universities and other institutions in Morocco and Tunisia. The assistance in successful enrollment is highly beneficial for Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Polytechnic. Students from both countries may also consider studying abroad without scholarship. Hospitality Management Internship Program

Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Polytechnic has established Automotive Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Jewelry, Art Design, Business and Management, and Hospitality services. Among them, the Hospitality service is one of the greatest advantages of the school, and it is one of the highest quality vocational colleges in Shanghai. Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Polytechnic plans to engage their first group of international student management internship projects in September 2019. Beijing Hongzhou Learning has extensive experience in recruiting hotels to manage foreign students and granting internships. Since 2017, it has successfully admitted nearly 300 foreign Hotel Management students. The two sides communicated plans to establish the training and placement of the first group of at least 30 students in September.

Cultural Exchange Program

Communication for short-term study tours and overseas internships in China. Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Polytechnic welcomes students from all over the world to participate in a 1-2-week short-term cultural exchange program to learn Chinese, experience Shanghai's development and understand Chinese traditional culture, in hopes of attracting more foreign students to study in China, in the future. In addition, Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Polytechnic has a Japanese language major, and graduates can reach the second level of Japanese. Every year, a considerable amount of students are interested in travelling to Japan for an internship. Hongzhou Learning's current internship program in Japan is very suited for the needs of the school, which undoubtedly provides improved synergy and prospects for future cooperations between the two sides.
